Microsoft has identified some service outages. The impact can very but does affect email. ITS Is watching for updates.

Emails may potentially be slow into the early afternoon as we process the backlog of emails that need to be sent.

The partial mail system outage has been resolved. Delayed messages should arrive shortly.

ITS has identified a problem with sending e-mail for some systems and users. We are currently investigating the issue.

Users trying to access their email accounts, after changing their password, are getting error message “Repeating redirects detect…..” We are currently investing the issue and currently do not have an eta.

9/5/18: Microsoft has removed the issue and is reporting that the problems should be fixed.

Users may be unable to access or use some features within the Office 365 service. We’ve determined that a data center issue caused a subset of the Office 365 service to become degraded. We’re connecting some of the affected services to an alternate infrastructure, while remediating the underlying issue within the data center. Impact is specific to a subset of users who are served through the affected infrastructure.

The SIUE homepage link to Office 365 mail is not loading correctly. While we are working on a solution to the link, you can access your email by going directly to portal.office.com.

[Resolved] Outlook Email Issues

The issue appears to be resolved. There have been no other reported occurrences and Microsoft is not listing this as an issue.

Microsoft is having issues with Outlook email. Many are experiencing email with a header, but no content in the body of the email message.
