Final status: Our fix was successfully deployed. After an extended period of monitoring, we’ve confirmed through telemetry that service is restored and impact has been fully remediated. Scope of impact: Users who expected to make or receive calls routed through Microsoft Teams provisioned auto attendants and call queues may have been affected. Phone systems were restored and are working again.

We are actively investigating an issue with the SIUE telephone system that is affecting users’ ability to make or receive calls. As of now, the precise cause of the problem remains unidentified, and we are working to pinpoint the underlying issue.

8:12 am: The Helpdesk phone lines were fixed and calls are being received.

The Helpdesk line x5500 is not receiving calls. When users try to call they are getting a message that the call cannot be completed.

The cable providing telephone service to Alton building 277, 279, and 281 was cut during construction work. Technicians are working to restore service as soon as possible.
