Turnitin services will be unavailable during a scheduled maintenance period on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10 AM to 6 PM U.S. Central (Daylight) Time.

An announcement should appear for users within Turnitin in advance of when the system will be unavailable for this scheduled maintenance. This maintenance will affect Turnitin and TurnitinUK (including all integrations), Feedback Studio for iOS, iThenticate, and WriteCheck.

Instructors are encouraged to modify assignment due dates either before or at least several hours after the scheduled maintenance window. Please be aware no submissions or grading will be possible through any of the services listed during this time.

ITS has been informed by the vendor that Turnitin is currently experiencing issues preventing files from being submitted or viewed in the Feedback Studio inside of Blackboard. The vendor is currently working on a solution to the problem but there is no estimated time for full service to be restored. Additional information is available from the page at:

As of 2:00p on 2-5-18 the issue was reported as resolved by Turnitin.

Some Turnitin users may be experiencing an error when attempting to leave comments through Feedback Studio. This matter is being addressed as a top priority by Turnitin’s engineering team but unfortunately, due to the complexity and cross dependencies with external service providers, a resolution time is not available at the moment.
