Past Incidents

ITS Networking will be performing network maintenance on Saturday 3 Feb 2018 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. During this time there will be brief network and internet outages for the entire East St. Louis Higher Education Campus. All maintenance is scheduled to be completed by 5:00pm.

ITS Networking will be performing maintenance to core network switches in the SIUE Data centers on Friday 2 Feb 2018 from 5:00am to 7:00am. During this time the network switches will be rebooted to perform software upgrades. No downtime is anticipated but this maintenance may cause brief outages of servers or internet. All maintenance will be completed by 7:00 am.

ITS has been informed by Blackboard that, in order to fully correct the root issue that caused today’s unplanned outage of the vendor-hosted system, the company’s technicians need to take the Blackboard system offline. As a result, Blackboard will be unavailable beginning at 4:00 a.m. CST. The vendor has stated that the outage should last no more than 30 minutes and that full access will be restored by 4:30 a.m. CST. ITS apologizes for this inconvenience. The Blackboard outage has been resolved and the system is fully operational again.
