Blackboard System Blackboard Issues

The Blackboard storage system experienced some issues earlier this evening. The problem appears to be resolved but ITS will continue to monitor the system. Please contact ITS at 650-5500 if you continue to experience any problems.

Student Print Server Upgrade, scheduled 7 years ago

Update: Maintenance has been completed and service has been restored. Please contact ITS at 650-5000 to report any issues.


UPDATE: 8:31am Maintenance is running over and should be completed shortly.


The student print server will be upgraded on Friday, August 4th from 7:30 - 8:00AM. During this time sending and retrieving print jobs will not be possible. Student print services will return to normal by 8:00AM. After the upgrade there should be no noticeable changes to users of the system.

Network (other) Network Issues - Alton Campus

Update: Service has been restored in Alton.


On the Alton Dental School campus ITS Networking is experiencing a Network Outage due to a power shutdown in Buildings 282, 283, 284, 285, 286, 287, 288 and 289. ITS Networking is investigating the outage and will restore service as soon as possible.

Networking Maintenance - Engineering Building, scheduled 7 years ago

ITS Networking will be performing maintenance at Engineering on 8/3/2017 7:00 am to 7:30 am. During this time there will be brief network and Internet outages. All maintenance will be completed by 7:30 am.

Network Maintenance in the Residence Halls, scheduled 7 years ago

ITS Networking will be performing maintenance to network switch equipment in Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Residence Halls on Monday 31 July 2017 and Tuesday 1 Aug 2017 between 8:00am and 4:30pm. During this time there will be brief network and internet outages in these buildings. All maintenance will be completed by 4:30 pm on Tuesday 1 Aug 2017.

ESLC Building A Network Maintenance, scheduled 7 years ago

Networking will be performing maintenance to East St. Louis Building A on 7/25/17 8am-11am. During this time there will be brief network and Internet outages in Building A at the East St. Louis campus. All maintenance will be completed by 11am.

Blackboard (other) Web Assign Lockdown Browser Unavailable

UPDATE: The vendor has identified the issue and is still working to resolve the problem.


WebAssign Lockdown Browser is currently unavailable. The vendor is experiencing technical difficulties and hopes to have the problem resolved shortly.

Telephones Telephone Issues

UPDATE: The University telephone system is working correctly again. If you continue to experience problems with the phone system please let us know.


The University Telephone system is currently experiencing intermittent issues. ITS is working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

ID Card System Outage, scheduled 7 years ago

There will be a planned outage of the ID Card system on Wednesday 7/24/2017 from 6am to 7:30am for a software update and maintenance.

During this outage, there will be no connections to UGRYD, Get, Micros (Dining Services), or Ratex (Textbook Services and Bookstore). Vending and Laundry readers will function with coin/cash only (or credit card where applicable). Aeros and Turbos will be non- functional. Some Aeros and Turbos may collect data from swipes, but this is dependent on configuration of the individual reader. Door access should continue as scheduled and expected, but Access Monitor will be unavailable. No door access changes can be made during the outage as the GUI will be down as well. Mobile ID will not function during the outage either.

Network (other) Alton Campus Network and Phone Outage

Power was restored about 11:00 am today 17 July 2017. All services have been restored.


SIUE is experiencing an unknown power outage at the Alton School of Dental Medicine campus. This has caused the Network and Phone system to go out of service. As soon as the power is restored SIUE ITS will work on restoring the Network and Phone system.
