We are currently experiencing hardware issues which affect the availability of the Banner test and production systems as well as test and production Blackboard Analytics. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issues and will let you know as soon as the systems are back up and running. The ID Card system will be down for scheduled maintenance Friday September 15th from 6:30am to 7:30am.

During this outage, there will be no connections to UGRYD, Get, Micros (Dining Services), or Ratex (Textbook Services and Bookstore). Vending and Laundry readers will function with coin/cash only (or credit card where applicable). Aeros and Turbos will be non- functional. Some Aeros and Turbos may collect data from swipes, but this is dependent on configuration of the individual reader. Door access should continue as scheduled and expected, but Access Monitor will be unavailable. No door access changes can be made during the outage as the GUI will be down as well. Mobile ID will not function during the outage either.

The swipe system for SIUE ID cards is currently experiencing issues. ITS is in communication with the vendor to fix the problem as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through this problem.

ITS has received a large number of reports from students receiving an error message when attempting to log into Blackboard. One cause of this problem has been traced to students using a secondary login page via a Google search to access Blackboard. When students afterwards attempt to access Blackboard via the main login page (https://bb.siue.edu), they receive the error message. ITS has contacted the vendor and they are investigating the issue.

Until a resolution is found, students can clear their browser cache to remove the element that is causing the error. Instruction on clearing the cache are available at: http://bit.ly/1jD85EF Restarting your browser after clearing your cache is strongly encouraged.

Students are being directed to the secondary login page via a Google search for SIUE Blackboard. To prevent this error from recurring, students are encouraged to access Blackboard directly at: https://bb.siue.edu or by clicking the Blackboard icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the SIUE homepage at: http://www.siue.edu

Blackboard is experiencing an issue with Starfish. The Blackboard vendor has been notified and is working to correct the problem. ITS will inform the campus once the issue has been resolved.
